FingerPrint For Mac 1.1.0, Downloads: 525, License: Demo, By: Collobos Software, Size: 2.14. FingerPrint uses Bonjour technology to find all the shared It's an awkward process of syncing or emailing. With FingerPrint, just select Send to iPhoto when you go to print a picture and voila! The most common finger print scanning system has been in the market for some time with Iphones and even some laptop brands. A dedicated Apple blog from Taiwan, called AppleCorner, thinks that a finger print security system might be up in the air. How they have found this possibility? Everyone knows how to print from their Mac, right? You just hit the Print button (or Command-P) – but are you using these print-related tricks? How to print from the Dock What if you didn’t even have to open documents to print them? What if you could just print from the document icon in Finder using drag & drop? You — here’s how: • Open System Preferences>Printers & Scanners. • Look to the Printers list and select the printer you want to use. • Drag & drop the printer icon from the list to your Dock. • You should see the icon for that printer appear in your Dock. • Quit System Preferences. In the future, you’ll be able to print items just by dropping them on the print icon in your Dock. When you drop, you won’t see the usual print tools, but you will see the printer’s management window in which you can cancel printing if you want. How to print from Spotlight search Here’s a fairly typical scenario: You want to print something, but you don’t know where it is on your Mac. Typically, you’ll use Spotlight/Siri to find the item, open it and print from there. But armed with the Dock icon tip above, you can simply drag & drop the document icon directly from the Spotlight search results onto the Print icon in your Dock and print from there, which can be considerably faster. How to print screen on the Mac There’s no single print screen command on the Mac, but there’s a workaround. When you want to print the entire contents of the screen just tap Command-Shift-3 and an image of the desktop contents will be saved as a file to your Desktop (or add Control to the sequence to take an image and save it to your Clipboard for pasting into the app of your choice). You can then print the file from inside Preview or by dragging it to the Dock icon as described above. (You can also print elements of what’s on screen: Command-Shift-4 lets you define an area to capture, and Command-Shift-4 followed by Spacebar lets you choose and capture a specific application window only. (You'll find a bunch more keyboard shortcuts.) [ To comment on this story, visit. ] How to beat the print queue A more complex tip: If you work in a shared office space, it’s possible you also share a selection of printers on the network. This can be useful, but it does sometimes mean your print job gets stuck in a lengthy queue when you assign it to one of the shared printers. Fortunately, there is a better way — create a printer pool: [ ] • Launch System Preferences>Printers & Scanners. • Now select all the shared printers in your office you use — click the first one, then hold down Command while you select additional ones. • Click Create Printer Pool, give it a name. In the future, when you print, remember to select the pool, and your print will be completed using the first available printer from your collection. If you want to print multiple copies of a document, you’ll get best results by printing each copy individually to the pool. When you do that, the job will be handled by the first available printer, meaning you’ll have your copies printed simultaneously across your print pool. How to print multiple items really, really fast Here’s the scenario: You have a huge number of items you need to print, but you’d like to avoid the rigmarole of opening each document before hitting print. Here’s a much faster way: • Open Printers & Scanners in System Preferences. • Select the printer you want to use in the list of available printers. • Tap the Open Print Queue button to the right of that list. • The Print Queue for that printer will open.

Having a HTML signature in your emails is a great way to look professional, unique and to promote yourself but creating one isn’t so straightforward. You have to design your signature layout, write up the HTML codes and know how to install it into your preferred email program. In this tutorial, I’ll go over some HTML tips for writing up the HTML codes and give instructions on how to install the email signature into Microsoft Outlook 2011 on a Mac. There are 2 sections in this tutorial: Section 1: HTML Tips For Coding Your Email Signature Section 2: Installing your HTML signature into Outlook 2011 on your Mac If you have basic HTML skills and know how to work with a web server, you will learn how to write up your HTML codes correctly by following Section 1. If you don’t know anything about HTML coding or just don’t have the time to deal with it, you may consider hiring us to do it for you. Please visit for more info. Go straight to Section 2 if you already have your HTML email signature file created and just need installation help. SECTION 1: HTML SIGNATURE CREATION Step 1.1: Design Consideration Today, emails are viewed on desktop computers, laptops and on tablets and smart phones. It is best to keep the width of your HTML email signature as narrow as possible for the best result. Most modern mobile devices have a default width of 640 pixels so it is best to keep your design under that to ensure that the layout doesn’t break on smaller screens. From experience, designs that have a width of 320 pixels and under are the most consistent. NOTE: If your signature design for Outlook 2011 have a width larger than 320 pixels, you will have to manually adjust the width of your signature each time you compose a new email. View that I have created for others. Step 1.2: Signature Information Decide what and how much info you want to display on your signature. For this demonstration, I’ll be using my own with a picture link to my website, name, title, email and some other text links. Feel free to use my design as a template. To see the HTML codes, find “View Source” in your browser menu. Step 1.3: Writing the HTML Codes Here are some basic but important notes to keep in mind as you design your signature. One major obstacle in designing HTML e-mail templates is that there are so many different e-mail clients out there (most if not all can’t handle CSS and HTML like our internet browsers can) so you have to keep your design and codes as simple and straight forward as possible. • Use tables for basic layout. The CSS float property is not supported in Gmail or Outlook, making CSS layouts impractical. • Use inline CSS. The style tag is not supported in Gmail, and support for CSS selectors is spotty. • Use only basic CSS properties. E-mail clients tend to be very picky about which CSS properties they support. Campaign Monitor has a great summary of CSS support in e-mail to use for reference. • Use absolute URLs. Relative paths won’t work for an e-mail signature. So all your links need to be absolute URLs. • Link to images. I personally dislike e-mail signature images as attachments (it makes it easy to mistaken that image as a legitimate attachment). Because of this, I recommend linking to your images by placing them on a web server rather than including them as attachments. See Step 4 for more info. • Exclude HTML, HEAD, and BODY tags. When we get ready to save your HTML signature into Mail, make sure that only the relevant HTML is included in your document. Step 1.4: Saving and Uploading your images to a web server Since we want the email signature to load quickly, make sure to optimize your image with Adobe Photoshop by doing a “Save for Web.” Upload your images to your web server and copy the public path. The public path (absolute URL) should look something like this: “Copy image link and insert it into the appropriate img tags of your HTML file. Step 1.5: Save File and Preview Once you have your email signature coded, save the HTML file to your Desktop and call it “signature.html” Locate file and open it with Safari or Firefox (not tested with other browsers). SECTION 2: HTML SIGNATURE INSTALLATION Step 2.1: Copy Signature Design With your “signature.html” file opened on Safari or Firefox, press Command+A on your keyboard to “Select All.” Then press Command+C to copy design. Step 2.2: Create Placeholder Signature Open Outlook > Preferences > Signatures. Click the plus button on the lower left to create a new signature. Dec 10, 2018 - Dedicated FTP app that performs well. I downloaded it and it seem to support the same functionality. I now have both clients on my MAC and shall keep it that way for the time being. [doublepost=][/doublepost] No worries for me. It works great on my rMBP, older Mac Mini with Linux install, and NVidia Shield TV. I give props to Plex for its contribution though I am not quite sure I like how they branched out. To me the hugh advantage that Plex has over KODI is that it is designed as a client server. You run one copy of the server which manages your media and you can run many copies of the client on different platforms all connecting to the same server. You manage your media once. In my case I have a MAC client, a ROKU client and an IOS client for casting to Chromecast. We have ADFS 3.0 running which is working fine when, for example, we logon to portal.office.com. We migrated a few test users to Office 365/ Exchange. That is all working fine. One thing I see and I wonder if that is normal behaviour with AD FS; When a migrated user opens Outlook 2016 (fully patched) for the first time on a domain joined Windows 10 PC on the internal network, he is asked for his password with a screen for basic authentication. Is expected a SSO experience, because modern authentication is turned on for Exchange and did this setting on the ADFS Server Enable-AdfsEndpoint -TargetAddressPath '/adfs/services/trust/13/windowstransport' It is probably hitting the old Exchange 2010 first when running the autodiscover process, which is causing the prompt. The autodiscover points at the internal Exchange server and not to O365, becuase are other mailboxes are on-prem. Is their a solution to prevent this behaviour of Office 2016? Modern auth is enabled for Exchange Online and using Outlook 2016, it is used by Outlook. This is set on ADFS: Enable-AdfsEndpoint -TargetAddressPath “/adfs/services/trust/13/windowstransport” When I use the hosts file on a workstation to point autodiscover to autodiscover.outlook.com everything is working as expected, with SSO experience, not asking for a password. So I think the behavior is caused because autodiscover points to our on-prem Exchange server and during the autodiscover process it hits this server first. But I cannot find an article which agrees with my thought, or a solution/ workaround for this. It is because of the autodiscover cache which points the client to the old Exchange 2010 server. When I delete the autodiscover cache (manually) from the users profile and reboot the device I don`t see the basic auth popup and the user is logged on seamless to Outlook. Jul 19, 2017 - How to: Fix Outlook for Mac 2016 Prompting for Office 365 Credentials (on every start) 6 Steps total. Step 1: Open the Keychain. Step 2: Clear old items relating to Exchange/MS login in the keychain. Step 3: Open Outlook & Login. Step 4: Open Outlook Preferences from the menu. Step 5: Open Accounts. Step 6: Finally. If you’ve used Outlook for Mac 2011 previously, you may have ran into issues with database corruption and are familiar with having to manually rebuild the Because of these changes, the ability to manually start a database rebuild is not available in Outlook for Mac for Office 365. This will help reduce time. I have also setup a few test users on the Exchange 2016 server, when they are moved to Office 365, they don`t see the popup, just restart Outlook and they are logged on to Outlook. So when I move users at night and the next morning the users starts his device, the autodiscover cache should be renewed and don`t see a popup. |
